Scott jumped up from his sleep realizing that he was late for a gig. It was unusual that he had a daytime gig so today was special. Scott was about to embark on a journey he had never known: DJing for little kids and old people. Today was the towns annual block party, and believe it or not, Scott was going to have to censor the shit out of every song. "I should have just downloaded the clean versions," Scott mummered as he got dressed, "Shouldn't have gotten that high yesterday, huh buddy?" Scott said to his dog, Marley. Scott grabbed his macbook and sunglasses and was about to head to the party when he realized he had no weed. The party would have to wait, cause there was no way Scott would ever DJ a party sober.
What people do not understand about drugs is that, atleast for Scott, it was more than just drugs. Drugs allowed Scott to forget about the pain from his past, the struggle of living with someone your whole life who supports nothing you do, and the consequences that came along with Scott deciding that he didn't care what his father thought, he was gonna do what he wanted. Drugs are the reason that Scott is who he is today, and he was proud of himself even if no one else was.
Scott needed to stop by his friend Otto's house to re up on the good stuff. Yeah, you heard it right, the ganja, marijuana, the loud pack if you will.
Scott knocked on apartment 420, (ironic eh?) and Otto came to the door wearing Scooby Doo pajama pants and moccasins, a stoner's outfit indeed. It was nice for Scott to have a friend as his drug dealer, not only did they have awesome smoke sessions, but Scott usually got all his drugs for free.
"Scotty! What's going on, good to see you bud." "Hey man, you too, listen I'm DJing at this block party later on over at the roller skating rink, you should be there, pretty girls, good music, and plenty of mind altering substances", Scott said to Otto as they did their business transaction. "Oh alright dude, sounds sweet, I'll probably be there. My schedule is completely clear, I don't ever have shit to do anymore, this town is a pretty dull place". "Yeah I hear you man, but you just gotta live for the moment and make the best of it, that's what I try to do, every night my man", Scott said. "Alright well I'll see you later tonight then, enjoy yourself", Otto said. "You bet, bud, right back at ya", Scott said and walked out the door.
